Christmas tree disposal

Basin Disposal will be collecting Christmas trees from those who sign up for the service the first week of January, at the cost of $1.00 per foot. If you would like to take advantage of that service please call City Hall at (509) 698-7328. Only those people whose names are on the list will have their trees collected.

Municipal Engineering Services Request for Statement of Qualifications

The City of Selah is inviting Statements of Qualifications from firms interested in providing professional engineering design and construction observation and administration services for the following federal Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) funded project:  Civic Center Park & Ride Lot Improvements.  Engineering design and construction will occur in 2018.

The Yakima Regional Clean Air Agency has removed the current burn ban due to improved weather conditions in all of Yakima County*.

* Please Note:  Restrictions may differ within the exterior boundaries of the Yakama Reservation.

Burn Ban Upgraded to Stage 2

Effective Today at 12:00 PM

 

A ban on the use of any wood burning stove, fireplace, fireplace insert or pellet stove is prohibited unless it is the only adequate means of heating a home. All outdoor burning is also prohibited. The restriction begins at 12:00 pm today December 4, 2017, in all of Yakima County* until further notice.
