The City of Selah is seeking to hire several (up to eight) Seasonal Parks Workers. This is a full-time, temporary (5 months), non-exempt position.

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Public Works Utility Supervisor and the Parks Lead, this Parks Worker will perform a variety of advanced grounds maintenance duties; maintain parks in a clean, safe, and orderly condition for public use; install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems; applies fertilizers and other chemicals to vegetation; operate a variety of power equipment, tools and machinery.

Minimum Requirements

This job requires a valid Washington State Drivers License. High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred.

Wages (as defined by the 2018 Salary Ordinance)

The compensation for Maintenance Worker/Park Laborer I is $13.20 an hour.

The compensation for Maintenance Worker/Park Laborer II is $15.50 an hour.

Initial wage placement will depend on previous work experience.
