Campaign Signs Reminder

If you are planning to place campaign/political signs in the grassy areas of South First Street or North Wenas Road, please see the mowing schedule listed below.  It is the responsibility of the person placing the signs to remove and replace the sign for mowing purposes. Failure to remove signs will result in the signs being removed and not put back in place. For more information on sign code requirements please refer to the Selah Municipal Code.

Volunteer Park Update

The City of Selah is pleased to announce an update on Volunteer Park. After testing soil in the Volunteer Park area, a certain amount of arsenic was discovered. Due to this, the City consulted with HLA Engineering and Land Surveying, Inc. to discuss mitigation and remediation.

Selah Skate Park Taco Feed

The Selah Skate Park has been a staple of our community since the early 2000’s. Recently, the Selah Parks and Recreation Department has been preliminary approved for a $35,000 state grant. In order to raise the matching funds, we are having a taco feed on August 5th from 6pm-8pm which will include authentic Mexican tacos, beans and rice. National Night Out at Wixson Park

The Selah Police Department, along with donations from local businesses, is hosting National Night Out, “America’s Night out against Crime.” This event will be held on Tuesday, August 2nd, 2016 at Wixson Park from 6:00-8:30 PM. As we head into the summer months, please be aware that fireworks are prohibited within City limits.
