Notice of Class 1 Permitted Use Application, Administrative Adjustment of Development Standards & Environmental Review


Application: On February 6, 2020, the City of Selah Community Development Department received applications for a Class (1) Review, Administrative Adjustment to the City’s Parking Standards, and State Environmental Policy Act Checklist for the construction of a 122-unit townhomes development, and associated 267-stall parking lot.

Project Location:    Vicinity of Crusher Canyon Rd, southwesterly terminus of Viking Drive, S. 8th St., Enterprise Dr., and Fruitspur Dr., Selah, WA.

Approvals, Actions and Required Studies: Class (1) Permitted Use and Administrative Adjustment Approval, Environmental Determination, & Building Permits.

Environmental Review: The City of Selah is the lead agency for this proposal under the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA). The City has reviewed the proposal for probable adverse environmental impacts and expects to issue a Determination of Nonsignificance (DNS). The optional DNS process in WAC 197-11-355 is being used. This may be your only opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposal. The proposal may include mitigation measures regardless of whether an EIS is prepared. After all comments have been received and considered, a threshold determination will be made without an additional comment period. Comments received by 5:00 PM March 6, 2020, will be considered in making the determination. A copy will be sent to those who comment or may be obtained upon request. The determination will have specific appeal information and may be appealed within five business days of issuance.

Request for Written Comments on the Proposal: Written comments concerning the Class (1) Review, Administrative Adjustment, and State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) checklist will be accepted during the public comment period that ends at 5:00.p.m, on March 6, 2020.
