NOTICE OF CITY COUNCIL CLOSED RECORD PUBLIC HEARING

Application: The City of Selah Planning Department received a Class 3 Review, Nonconforming Use, Administrative Adjustment, and State Environmental Checklist applications from NAC Architecture and HLA Engineering and Land Surveying Inc. on behalf of the Selah School District #119 to construct a new primary school, increase the maximum lot coverage of the site from 35% to 45%, and provide environmental review of the proposal in its entirety.  The proposed construction constitutes 82,824 sq. ft. of building space to accommodate 736 students within 36 class rooms, 2 collaborative pods, a resource classroom, self-contained special education classroom, music room/platform, maker space, gym, library, multi-purpose/commons space, administrative offices, support space, and play areas. Additionally, the 148 stall existing parking lot will be removed and replaced with a 130-stall parking lot and off-street bus and parent drop-off areas.

Notice of City Council Public Hearing:

The Selah City Council will hold a closed record public hearing to consider the Planning Commission’s recommendation on the above-referenced Class 3 Review, Nonconforming Use, Administrative Adjustment, and State Environmental Checklist. The hearing will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at 5:30 PM or as soon thereafter, in the Selah City Council Chambers, 115 W. Naches Avenue, Selah, Washington. This is a closed record public hearing; no new testimony or information will be taken.
