Notice of Change to Regular City Council Meeting Time and Notice of City Council Study Session

NOTICE OF CHANGE TO REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING TIME AND NOTICE OF CITY COUNCIL STUDY SESSION

 

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the City of Selah City Council will be conducting a Study Session on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 after the regularly scheduled Council Meeting, which will be starting at 5:00 pm in Council Chambers at City Hall. This meeting is open to the public and conforms with State requirements for the Open Public Meetings Act.

 

Public Notice: Parking Lot Closure

Starting Wednesday, September 12, 2018, the Selah pool and the adjacent parking lot to the east will be fenced off for demolition and construction. This will not affect those wishing to enjoy Wixson Park and its amenities, such as the picnic shelters and playground equipment.

Public Hearing on Selah Transit Development Plan

Notice IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Selah City Council will conduct an open record public hearing on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at 5:30 P.M., or as soon thereafter as practical, in the City of Selah Council Chambers, City Hall Building, 115 W. Naches Avenue, Selah, WA on the adoption of the City of Selah, Selah Transit Development Plan. The Plan covers the Organization, Services, Priorities, Capital Improvements and Funding for the Selah Transit.

Stage 1 Burn Ban in effect

A Stage 1 burn ban has been called by the Yakima Regional Clean Air Agency’s Air Pollution Control Officer due to wildfire smoke that continues to inundate the Yakima Valley. The burn ban applies to all outdoor and agricultural burning in Yakima County* until further notice.

Under a Stage 1 burn ban:

All outdoor burning is prohibited throughout Yakima County*.

All violations of the burn ban are subject to civil penalty.

Election Information

Primary election ballots are due today, August 7th. For your convenience there is a red ballot box located in the foyer at City Hall, and doors will be open until 8pm tonight.
