Planning and Building Permit Specialist — JOB DESCRIPTION

The City of Selah is hiring a Planning and Building Permit Specialist to fill an anticipated department vacancy. This position will be full-time, non-exempt, and non-represented. The salary for this position will be $3,285 monthly. All applicants must be available for an in person interview on Tuesday October 3. Here is the proposed interview schedule.

The minimum qualifications include: High School diploma or G.E.D. with specialized course work in general office practices such as typing, accounting, data processing. Two years of progressively responsible experience in office, clerical, or general administrative work. Possession of valid Washington State Driver’s License

The preferred qualifications include: Bachelor’s Degree in Planning, Government, or related field. Municipal Government experience or construction management administration. Experience with Building Permit Process highly favored.
