The City Council voted recently to make a change on utility taxes. Your October bill was consistent with that change. Henceforth, utility taxes will occur as an inter-fund ‘tax’ on gross revenues the City receives. Customers will no longer have to pay utility taxes to the City. Selland Construction will be closing Lander Road, from Speyers Road to W. Goodlander Road, to through traffic from November 4, 2024 to Spring 2025. The purpose of the closure is to allow for the safe and efficient installation of buried utilities, including sewer and water mains, stormwater infrastructure and power.
