The Yakima County Fire Marshal’s has issued a residential burn ban, effective throughout the summer. The county-wide burn ban for unincorporated Yakima County is effective Wednesday, June 12, 2024, to September 30, 2024, according to Yakima County. The Selah Fire Department has been made aware of illegally parked vehicles at Carlon Park during regular softball games, especially during weekend tournaments. The illegally parked vehicles pose a significant risk to the safety of the players and spectators.
