The Selah City Council is currently accepting applications from interested parties to fill a current vacancy on the Selah City Council. To qualify individuals must be a registered voter who has resided within the Selah City limits for a minimum of one year, by time of appointment. Council Members should be available to attend regularly scheduled Council Meetings, which are anticipated to be held on the second and fourth Tuesday at 5:30pm each month.
All qualifying applicants must fill out the Council Member Application, which is also posted below. It is anticipated that each applicant will participate in a brief interview at a City Council Study Session on Tuesday, January 28, 2020. Council appointment may be made as early as the same day, at the Council Meeting, following the Study Session. The selected Council Member’s term will begin effective immediately, upon selection, and continue until December 31, 2021.
The deadline for submitting an application is 5:00pm Friday, January 10, 2020.
