The City of Selah is creating an applicant registry of Entry Level and Lateral Entry Police Officers in order to fill a department vacancy.
Entry Level Police Officer
This position will be full-time, non-exempt. The minimum qualifications include:
Must be 21 years of age or older and a US Citizen; must have a High School Diploma or GED certificate and a valid Washington Driver’s License; must be in good health and able to meet LEOFF 2 standards. May not have any felony or domestic violence convictions.
The current salary is $47,772 for a probationary police officer.
Lateral Entry Police Officer
This position will be full-time, non-exempt. The minimum qualifications include:
Must have worked a minimum of 18 months as a full-time police officer within the past 24 months in a City, County, or State police agency in Washington. Must possess current CJTC certification, WA Driver’s License & meet LEOFF 2 standards.
The current salary is $54,096 – $63,984 (Third Class – First Class) dependent on previous experience.
