The City of Selah is seeking a qualified attorney to represent indigent defendants charged with misdemeanor and gross misdemeanor crimes in Selah Municipal Court. Court appearances will occur At 8:00 AM on Tuesdays for court sessions and Thursdays (if needed) for trials. Current caseload will comprise of approximately 60% of the attorney’s practice time according to public defense standards. CLICK HERE for full details.

It’s that time of year again! With over 500 runners you are sure to compete with somebody and test your endurance. The race distances are ½ Marathon (13.1 miles) and 5K (3.1 miles). We will also have a free kid’s run at 10:00am around Carlon Park. Winners will receive Artillery Shells fired from tanks out on the Yakima Training Center Army Base.

The June 23, 2015 Council Meeting has been canceled. The next regularly scheduled meeting will be on July 14, 2015.

Join us once again on July 3rd for an evening of family fun and festivities. We have changed the format a bit this year to include a dodgeball tournament from 1 – 5 pm. City of Selah, Recreation Department, is seeking a Recreation Coordinator. Job functions include: Under the direction of the Recreation Manager, plan, organize, develop and direct multi-program recreational programs and activities. Provide direction to volunteers and part-time workers. Promote and represent self-sustaining recreational programs. Be part of the interview process for part-time employees and volunteers. The regularly scheduled Council meeting on June 9th has been moved to Monday, June 15th at 4pm.  This meeting is open to the public and conforms with State requirements for the Open Public Meetings Act.
