Payroll & Accounts Payable Specialist

The City of Selah is seeking to hire a Payroll and Accounts Payable Specialist. This is a full-time permanent, non-exempt, non-represented position. The anticipated start date for this position is March 1, 2020, in order to allow sufficient training and turnover. Job Summary: Under direction from the City Clerk and in coordination with the other city departments, and the city’s legal counsel, this position Performs routine clerical, bookkeeping, accounting, and administrative work for the city. Compiles payroll data to maintain payroll records. Supports the Utility Billing Specialist as needed.

Minimum Requirements: Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

  • A High School Diploma
  • 3 years increasingly responsible related experience
  • Possession of a Valid Washington State Driver’s License
  • Previous Experience with Vision Municipal Solutions Preferred

Salary: The starting monthly compensation range for this position is $3,854 — $4,068 dependent upon qualifications.
