The City of Selah is seeking to Hire a Utility Worker/Mechanic

Pay: $4331-$5086 (Depending on Qualifications)

Under the direction of the Utility Supervisor and Utility Lead, the Utility Worker/Mechanic is responsible for all aspects of operations, maintenance, and preventative maintenance of City facilities. Additionally they must understand and follow all policies, procedures, and safety aspects of public works systems, which include (but are not limited to):
- Maintaining Public Works vehicles and repairing light-to-heavy duty equipment
- Overhauling equipment including cars, trucks, refuse equipment, loaders, street sweepers, pumps, construction equipment, snowplows and more
- Working on City water systems, operation and maintenance
- Working on City roads and street construction, operation and maintenance
