As a result of violence that has been occurring in the Yakima Valley, it is the desire of the Selah Police Department to express to the community we are taking active measures to keep the community safe. We recognize a genuine fear of violence has the ability to take a toll on the community. We want the community to know every available resource we have at our disposal will continue to be at work. This includes covert surveillance, emphasis patrols, schedule adaptation, continuing education and/or training and the sharing of vital information with our counterparts in the law enforcement community.
We will be diligent in our efforts to preserve the public’s trust, protect persons and property. Additionally, to preserve the rights of all persons.
Members of the Selah Police Department encourage you as a community member to remain steadfast in helping us by reporting what you see and what you hear. We believe that together we are stronger and have the ability to affect change in our community for the better.
