As I am sure most of you are aware, there are a lot of wildfires in southern California that are causing a ton of devastation and affecting many lives. While we at the Selah Fire Department do not have any personnel helping with the fires, our heart goes out to all those who have been displaced.
We also think that this is a good time to reflect on our wildland fire season, which will be coming around again sooner than we would like. We want to remind everyone that preparation plays a huge role in preventing wildfires and can help mitigate risk around our homes and properties. If you have any questions about how you can make your property more resistant to wildfires, please visit the Wildfire Ready website.
Stay safe and take care of each other!
